AUDIENCE WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CHURCHES AND
ECCLESIAL COMMUNITIES AND OF THE DIFFERENT RELIGIONS
ADDRESS OF THE HOLY FATHER POPE FRANCIS
Clementine HallWednesday, 20 March 2013

"Yesterday morning, during Holy Mass, through you I felt the spiritual presence of the communities which you represent. In this expression of faith, it seemed that we were experiencing all the more urgently the prayer for unity between believers in Christ and at the same time seeing prefigured in some way its full realization, which depends on God’s plan and our own faithful cooperation."

Pope Francis certainly has the way of identifying the common good in as all no matter what differences we have regarding our community beliefs, in his last paragraph he even notes the good will of the atheist.  Since I was Bapisted a Lutheran I understand this common ecclesiastical message and being Confirmed Catholic I understand the different levels of faith and the importance of continually deepening our relationship with God and the good in man.
