Ave Maria Praise Mary

Astonishment. The fishes.

Gospel LK 5:1-11 In todays reading it struck me that the surprise of Peter when the miracle of fishes happened, it was a little on the humorous side. When Peter says 'Depart from me for I am a  sinful man'' I think he was in such good humour that the mood reflects the day. The sun was shinning. Jesus does another miracle for the Apostles, they are still  astonished even after all  this time.   I consecrate myself absolutely to Mary, in the capacity of a slave, for time and eternity

Mary Magdalene

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”

How important is Subsidiarity?

I met Fr Jim Norris in 2005 and I believe that when he gave me his diaries it was the Holy Spirit working. I have been discerning what to do with this gift and I am not willing to do anything without the proper approval of the Hierarchy.  I have attached our submission, which is rather long but gives an outline of our aims. There are more documents on our monthly Formation program, a Constitution and the book ‘The Fr Norris Reflections’. The purpose of our asking you for this help is that I believe it is getting close to the time where we need a Priest to help form an apostolic society and we would really like your help to find that special Priest that can come to our Parish to work part time for the ‘Norrisites,’ which is the name of our group. The Norrisites is a group that by its nature is for the poor and disabled, those people who are usually not able to join in the regular religious institutions. We are a religious society that comes before RCIA programs. We encourage a

The aim of every Christian

Image
The aim of every Christian is to love God with all their heart, mind, body and soul and the neighbor also . The objective of this work is to disseminate the information from the Fr Norris ‘work’, which are his reflections on the St Ignatius Spiritual Exercises. A spiritual journey is something that is often unseen and the smallest ripples in the pond can create a spiritual change in your life and those of your family. The diary of Fr Norris is developing into a Charism, it is more than a book and    it is up to the Church Hierarchy to discern if it is of any use.      The grace that Jesus Christ gives us in return for loving him is unquestionable great, often unseen yet powerful and our lives are to learn to hear His voice the Holy Spirit and live like he teaches, “to love one another as I have loved you.” The work is written for anyone, of any denomination but especially aimed at those who are willing to develop their Catholic faith.   [1] Never say that your lives

The Fr Jim Norris Reflections The Constitution has specially selected Cannon Laws and Catechism citations to aid the novice in formation and is an additional aid to develop the faith and includes selected; scripture, Canon Law, Catechism, Encyclicals and the teaching of the living Magisterium by live broadcasts from the Vatican. Our charism is rooted from the Fr Norris diary, these are the reflections taken from the eight handwritten notebooks of Fr Jim Norris which is adapted from the Columban 30 day St Ignatius retreat he did in the 1940’s at Essedon, Australia.
